Frodo: Guilty or Innocent?

THE HUMAN: Oh oh! Someone got into the catnip! I think it was you Frodo!

FRODO: What makes you think it was me?

FRODO: Well yes, it is catnip that I’m licking off myself at the moment but I don’t know what happened! Honest! I don’t know how I got all covered in it!

FRODO: One minute I was sleeping….And when I woke up I was covered in it!

FRODO: But it just doesn’t make sense! Who would wanna frame little ole me??

Who indeed…(look closely under the chair!)

PS: The human is away for the next two weeks –she will try to post sometimes but please forgive her if she can’t make comments on your blogs as often as usual!

We are doing the Awww Monday Blog hop from Comedyplus!

Amarula Has A Nose For Trouble!

AMARULA: What’s that you say?

AMARULA: My Tortie nose is so cute you want to touch it?

AMARULA: Go ahead, pet my nose. Don’t be put off my the fact that it’s incredibly close to my pointy teeth. You can trust me…

Here are Amarula’s Friendly Fill-Ins hosted by 15andmeowing and McGuffy’s Reader! We are also joining Feline Friday from Comedy Plus.

1. Luring humans into a false sense of security and getting them to do something stupid like pet my nose is one of my many talents.

2. I am ready for winter to be over. Enough already!
3. I have a hard time being modest due to my overwhelming intelligence and beauty. Clearly, Frodo and Zulu can’t sympathize with my “burden”.

4.Being Tortielicious is easy for me.

Amarula Is All Ears For Easter!

AMARULA:  Someone phone the Cruelty Against Torties hotline and get me otta here! Oh the shame!

Here are Amarula’s Friendly Fill-Ins hosted by 15andmeowing and McGuffy’s Reader! We are also joining Feline Friday from Comedy Plus.

  1. For Easter ( or Passover), I plan to focus on the EAT in Easter and take a bite otta my human for putting me in this stupid outfit!!
  2. My favorite Easter ( or Passover) treat is bunnies of course—but not the chocolate variety if you know what I mean!
  3. Lately, the song Nobody Knows The Trouble I’ve Seen‘ by Louis Armstrong is stuck in my head. For obvious reasons!
  4. The A-Z Blogging Challenge….. the alphabet is a human construct that I don’t subscribe to. The only thing I need to communicate with are my claws! And I am sharpening them right now….

Faint-Worthy Good News For Frodo, Zulu and Amarula!

YEAH! Did you hear the news?! We are proud to announce that we are finalists in the Best Pet Humor Blog category in the 2018 BlogPaws Nose-to-Nose Pet Blogging and Social Media Awards. We are honored to be in such esteemed company as Valentine’s blog Noir Kitty Mews, as well as The Rufus Files and A Dog Walks Into A Bar.  A special thank you goes out to Bear and his momma who nominated us!

The cats’ reaction to the news was in line with what you have come to expect:

Frodo promptly fainted and upon revival shouted out his glee to the whole world…

FRODO: Yahoooooooo! They like us, they really like us!! I love everybody!!

ZULU: Contact my agent! I want new head shots! Oh Yes! I am ready for my close up!

ZULU: Wait a minute…I wonder how many hours of grooming that gives me to prepare before the red carpet!? Better get started!

And Amarula was all Tortie:

AMARULA: Nominated? Humor, you say? Do they mean funny or funny-looking cause with Frodo and Zulu one can’t be sure! But go ahead, you may kiss my paw.

AMARULA: Now be off so I may dream of my acceptance speech.

Here are Amarula’s Friendly Fill-Ins hosted by 15andmeowing and McGuffy’s Reader!

  1. I am the _________________ in my family. I can’t answer that question cause family implies that I am in some way related to Frodo the Creamsicle Cretin and Zulu the Dunderheaded Dandy. We Torties are a world apart!
  2. I have _see above_ sibling(s).
  3. I am looking forward to patrolling the snowless (thank God) streets once again and reminding the neighborhood cats who’s boss this Spring.
  4. The first sign of Spring this year was the human pulling out that insipid and undignified, bell-strewn Birdsafe collar she makes me wear to protect the birds when I go outside. If she tries to put that on me again the birds won’t be the only ones who need protection!

(Birdbesafe collar–they look funny but they seem to work!)

Three’s Company!?

ZULU: Wake up Frodo sleepyhead. Time to get this Friday started!

ZULU: What the heck!!?? You won’t believe this Frodo but Amarula actually slept beside us all night! That’s a first!

AMARULA: WTF?! My head is groggy. Where am I?! I knew I had too much catnip last night!

FRODO: YEAH!! We are all together! This is the best morning ever!!

AMARULA: Oh Brother! Kill me now!

AMARULA: I can’t believe I woke up beside you idiots! I will never live this down!

ZULU: Pssssst Frodo, I bet Amarula would LOVE one of your famous Good Morning Wake-Up Hugs!!

AMARULA: I’m otta here!

Here are Amarula’s Friendly Fill-Ins hosted by 15andmeowing and McGuffy’s Reader!

  1. When I am nervous, I beat up Frodo and/or Zulu.
  2. When I an angry, I see above
    3. Today, I know for sure see above.
  3. For St. Patrick’s day, I know the human will try to put me in a ridiculous outfit!

TOLD YOU SO!!!

Amarula Steals The Spotlight

AMARULA: Oh my! The spotlight on little old me! I’m honored!

AMARULA: Oh, who’s kidding who?! We all know I was born to steal the spotlight!

Here are Amarula’s Friendly Fill-Ins hosted by 15andmeowing and McGuffy’s Reader!

  1. My favorite Dr. Seuss book is _The Cat in The Hat of course. We torties are so lucky that we look good in everything, including hats! Imagine a dog trying to wear a hat! Never! They would look ridiculous. Unlike us felines, they lack the dignity and elegant bone structure to carry it off!
  2. The most interesting person I have ever met is I will give you a clue…a see her every time I look in the mirror!
  3. Besides books by Dr. Seuss, my favorite book as a child was though I have not actually read it yet, I assume I would love 101 Dalmatians. Apparently, Cruella De Vil takes a bunch of Dalmatian dogs to make a coat. It sounds marvelous! I can’t think of a better use for a canine!
  4. Lately, I have been working on my memoirs. I plan to call it: A Feline Opines: The Sage Musings of A Misunderstood Mouser. Send money now for your autographed copy!

It’s Quitting Time!

Amarula has a special way of letting me know when she thinks I’ve been working too long and it’s time to call it a night!

AMARULA: What part of quitting time do you not understand human?

AMARULA: How could this computer possibly hold your interest more than me?

AMARULA: Clearly it’s time for the stink eye.

AMARULA: Don’t think ignoring me will work! I’m digging in my heels!

AMARULA: What part of “pet me NOW” don’t you understand? I am perfectly prepared to “deposit” a little “present” on your desk if you continue to ignore me!

AMARULA: I said NOW! Look closely into my eyes! Do I look like patience is one of my virtues?

HUMAN: All right! You win Amarula, I’m done for the night.

AMARULA: I always win! Mwwwwwhaha!

Amarula’s Between A Rock and A Hard Place

AMARULA: There’s danger to the right of me and danger to the left of me and I don’t know where to turn! Help!

Amarula also wants to thanks Bear (and his human) from Momma Kat and her Bear Cat Blog for nominating one of her posts (Monday Madness: Amarula Has Cabin Fever!) ” in the “Best Pet Humor Blog ” category in the BlogPaws Nose-to-Nose awards! Amarula is honored just to be nominated!!! Thanks!

Here are Amarula’s Friendly Fill-Ins hosted by 15andmeowing and McGuffy’s Reader!

AMARULA: Thank goodness the human got her computer fixed in time for me to offer my erudite and oh-so-drole answers to the fill-ins! She apologizes for not being able to post or visit blogs for the last week!

  1. My favorite president is the president of the “Vote Amarula for President” club because naturally, I am the president (and the only member if I’m being honest).
  2. This weekend, I have plans to shred, maim, nap, nap, nap, cough hairballs up on Frodo while he sleeps, nap, nap, poop in Zulu’s favorite bed by the fire, nap, nap, revel in my tortiness, nap.
  3. I love my fur coloring. Though Zulu describes it as “something that Halloween threw up” I believe I look resplendent!
  4. I believe in Tortietude!
