This is taken from yesterday’s post of Amarula getting a hug from Frodo (and thanks to all of you who went to fellow cat blogger Frimousse’s site to pass on condolences about the loss of RouXy! I know he appreciated it)

Frodo and Amarula hugging is a rare site so I thought I would immortalize it through art!

Farewell To A Feline Friend: A Hug in Honor of RouXy

It is with a heavy heart that we heard that RouXy, our feline friend who lives in France, went to the Rainbow Bridge yesterday. Frodo, Zulu and Amarula had just met him recently but he seemed like a wonderful, spirited cat. He only had 3 legs because when he was young he got caught in a leg hold trap for 24 hours. Luckily he was found but he lost the leg — though that never slowed him down! His best feline friend Frimousse is sure to miss him.  I am sure the family would appreciate any kind words. AMARULA: Just leave me alone today Frodo, I am feeling very sad about the loss of RouXy.

FRODO: I’m sad too. Do you know what I think we both need…

AMARULA: Ah oh!

FRODO: A hug!

AMARULA: Oh Brother!

FRODO: Do you feel better yet?

AMARULA: Yep. You can let go anytime!

FRODO: Do you think RouXy is with our beloved brother Biltong?

AMARULA: Yeah I sure do Frodo. We will miss you RouXy! Frodo, it’s OK if you want to hug me for just a little longer…

 

 

Nap Time Interrupted

AMARULA: Ah! Friday afternoon….I am looking forward to a nice long nap beside my beloved new scratcher…

AMARULA: And just like that another nap is ruined…

PS We just read that our French feline friend RouXy (beloved pal of Frimousse) is very ill. Please visit his website (link here) and send your positive thoughts. He is actually the neighbor’s cat but every day Frimousse’s owner goes over and brings him to their house so that RouXy can spend his time with his best friend Frimousse!

Week 38: January 27, 2017

  1. I have seen CATS (obviously)_ on Broadway. In fact, I was the inspiration!
  2. My Chinese zodiac sign is I am not sure when I was born (and a lady never tells her age) but I am certain I am not the year of the DOG! Imagine having a year of the dog but no CAT!!
  3. Celebrities I don’t know much about human celebrities because I am unable to watch TV as the human refuses to let me be in charge of the remote!
  4. A good day is when I see very little of Tweedledee and Tweedledum (aka Frodo and Zulu)!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Caturday Art: The Kiss!

As you may recall, we have photographic evidence that Amarula (ostensibly driven mad by snow and too much mulled wine, according to her) kissed Frodo (or maybe it was just the magic of the Amazon boxes?!).
