It is with a heavy heart that we heard that RouXy, our feline friend who lives in France, went to the Rainbow Bridge yesterday. Frodo, Zulu and Amarula had just met him recently but he seemed like a wonderful, spirited cat. He only had 3 legs because when he was young he got caught in a leg hold trap for 24 hours. Luckily he was found but he lost the leg — though that never slowed him down! His best feline friend Frimousse is sure to miss him. I am sure the family would appreciate any kind words. AMARULA: Just leave me alone today Frodo, I am feeling very sad about the loss of RouXy.
FRODO: I’m sad too. Do you know what I think we both need…
AMARULA: Ah oh!
FRODO: A hug!
AMARULA: Oh Brother!
FRODO: Do you feel better yet?
AMARULA: Yep. You can let go anytime!
FRODO: Do you think RouXy is with our beloved brother Biltong?
AMARULA: Yeah I sure do Frodo. We will miss you RouXy! Frodo, it’s OK if you want to hug me for just a little longer…
ZULU: YEAH!! I get to sit beside mom as she works! I got the coveted desk drawer! You snooze you loose, Frodo and Zulu!!
ZULU: And is it just me or does the compact size of the drawer really show off my incredible good looks! Hey Ladies!

I tried Lunapic for the first time today! Very cool. This is the quirky filter which suits Frodo’s personality. I am using it on the photo from Wordless Wednesday.

PS We just read that our French feline friend RouXy (beloved pal of Frimousse) is very ill. Please visit his website (link here) and send your positive thoughts. He is actually the neighbor’s cat but every day Frimousse’s owner goes over and brings him to their house so that RouXy can spend his time with his best friend Frimousse!

ZULU: Hmmmmmmm. As I suspected, mom has not kept on top of grooming my nails! How am I supposed to woo the ladies if my nails don’t look their best!?
ZULU: Let me give this scratcher thing a try
ZULU: Ah yes! Much better! A mancat has to look his best for the ladies!

Amarula may come off as a tough tortie…and she is…but she is a real momma’s girl! As you may remember from Wednesday (link here) all the cats love joining me on my desk when I am TRYING to work. But Amarula in particular loves sitting in the drawer in my desk beside me as I work. I even keep a blanket in there instead of papers or files–it is pretty much her drawer!
She curls up real tight and sleeps the day away (Just don’t tell her you saw these photos or she may kill me for showing them to you!
And then sometimes she just stares–I dare say lovingly —at me!
