FRODO: Some Sundays it can be hard to get up
FRODO: I asked mom to take the selfie cause I just didn’t have the energy. I am gonna stay in bed all day and sleep.
FRODO: Did someone say breakfast time?!

Amarula would not want any of you to know this but–despite how she acts around Zulu and Frodo and how “ferocious” she likes to appear even regarding “the Human”–she is a very tender cat. One of her favorite things in the world is for me to hold her in my lap with her tummy exposed while she gets tummy rubs or chin scritches.
She especially loves when she gets tummy scratches while sitting with me outside watching the squirrels.
She positively melts when I rub her chin!
AMARULA: Hey! You’re not photographing this are you? I have a reputation to uphold!

This is from the photo of Amarula from Thankful Thursday’s blog pondering how she would love to get rid of Frodo and Zulu (though I agree with what many of you said — she would miss them– what else would she do with her time if she didn’t have them to plot against?) I used Fairy from LunaPic. I think it really makes her look ferocious and lovely at the same time! (PS: Bear she agrees with you–she has way too many bells, which is a testatment to her hunting abilitiy!)

AMARULA: Well the snow is all melted, it’s stopped raining, I can spend long hours outside and Busy the puppy is gone. I am finally master once more of my domain!
AMARULA: Now if only I could get rid of Frodo and Zulu! Then I could really be thankful!

AMARULA: No! Leave me alone. I am busy sulking because the Human refuses to get rid of that stupid puppy Busy! He is the bane of my existence.
ZULU: I thought Frodo and I were the bane of your existence?
AMARULA: You are! My enemies are legion!
ZULU: You know that Busy went back to his owners a few days ago, right?
AMARULA: What did just say?!?!
AMARULA: Why was I not informed the dog left!? I have been hanging out with you in this room cause I thought the puppy was still here!
ZULU: But hasn’t this bonding time been nice, oh ill-tempered tortie?
AMARULA: Only if by nice you mean torture! I am outta here!
ZULU: Come on! Don’t leave angry! Come play.
AMARULA: I can’t even look at you right now!
AMARULA: Human! Look me in the eyes and promise me you will never take in another puppy!!

Hide and Seek:
FRODO: When we aren’t playing Hide and Seek I like to teach Busy some of my boxing moves cause I know that Amarula might introduce the poor puppy to her “Claws of Chaos!” He needs to know how to defend himself! I took it upon myself to show him some moves!
FRODO: He didn’t seem to be able to follow along with my Ninja moves so I taught him another good one that is always useful when trying to get out of trouble: playing dead…
AMARULA: As long as that hideous creature Busy continues to trespass in my territory you will get no happy selfies from me! (Thank God he goes home in a few days!)
AMARULA: The nincompoop doesn’t even notice my death stares!
AMARULA: But I will happily show off my fluffy tail of terror (which the idiot also ignores)!

FRODO: Though I love my new friend Busy, sometimes a feline needs just a little personal space, and though he asked to share my basket with me I felt I had to say no cause that’s my big brother Zulu’s spot (which I am sure he will reclaim once he comes out of hiding in the basement away from Busy!)
FRODO: Busy did his best to look cute…but I had to say no
FRODO: Finally Busy saw I meant business…
FRODO:…and claimed his spot at my side…but on the floor! Amarula would be proud of me!
