AMARULA: Zzzzzz….snore….snore….zzzzz..
AMARULA: What the heck!! I have a little snooze and I wake up to find that the trees are crying and I’m surrounded by all their colorful tears!
AMARULA: It all seems familiar somehow…something at the back of my mind….something unpleasant….
AMARULA: Wait a minute….I know what these leaves mean….Oh God!… It can’t be back already?!… Can it?!…it can’t be true…
AMARULA: WINTER IS COMING! Run for the hills! Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Before Amarula freaked out, she did her regular Friendly Fill-Ins hosted by 15andmeowing and McGuffy’s Reader!
ZULU: Oh Goody! I want to do the Fill-ins this week…Peace is …well the question of peace was perhaps best analyzed by the great Germany philosopher Emmanuel Kant who said….
AMARULA: Shut up Zulu! No one wants to hear your inane prattle…..Here are my insightful answers!
- Peace is overrated otherwise, I ask you, why would we felines have claws?.
2. I need to take care of that mouse that comes every fall to live in the kitchen under the oven, but I keep procrastinating cause I love it when it scares the heck out of the human! Hee hee
3. A friend is any cat that righly recognizes he or she should both fear and worship me! - I want to try to learn to use a can opener so I don’t have to rely on the human for wet food!
Oh, my gosh! I love this post. Amarula, you made my day. And, “The trees are crying.” What a poetic thought!
George stuffs his toys under the stove. I am forever digging them out. He actually lets me know when they are “lost”.
Feline peace? Well, we insist on it here. Claws are kept trimmed and only used on the cat tree or scratching pads.
Their friends are anyone who pets them! Except Grizelda…she loves us her own family.
Maggie could open a can-opener. She has thumbs! But, she hates wet food.
I would have loved Zulu’s answers. I love that name, too! I almost names a cat Zuma, once.
Have a great day, my friends! Peace! And hugs, too.
Thanks! Amarula is quite the poet (though she tries to hide it!) We loved your answers too! And Zulu named after fierce south African warrior tribe (we lived in SA for two years) but there is nothing fierce about Zulu!!
Um my furiend, that collar is bigger than YOU are MOL!!
yes- and amarula hates the collar but it gives the birds notice of her presence – so far seems to really work! I get them here -http://www.birdsbesafe.com/
Amarula, you’re a feisty (and gorgeous) spitfire!

Amarula, we agree…we love fall and all the pretty leaves and the cooler temps, but we know what’s next…and that doesn’t make us happy at all.
You look so gorgeous in those autumn leaves, Amarula! This time of year was just made for us torties 🙂 –Mudpie
We luff a fellow feline who is not afraid to speak her mind.
