Well not every morning. Zulu sleeps with me every night but Frodo only occasionally joins us.
FRODO: Oh Oh. I see mom spotted me opening my eyes
FRODO: Zulu don’t open your eyes or mom might think it’s time to get up!
ZULU: Shhhh. Just close your eyes buddy and go back to sleep. You make a great pillow by the way!

I was getting ready for bed doing some nighttime reading and suddenly noticed this: Amarula sleeping peacefully by Zulu! (And how cute does Zulu look!? He’s my best cuddler!)
As though sensing something was amiss, Amarula leapt up and looked as though she couldn’t believe her own eyes
She even took a big sniff of Zulu to make sure she wasn’t imagining things!
AMARULA: Clearly I had too much catnip before bed! I am outta here
ZULU: More room for me! Zzzzzzzzzz

I’ve got a problem. This is Zulu’s favorite table to sleep on (or under, to be more accurate) and it is really on its last legs.
I think it won’t last the summer. Certainly it won’t make it to next year. And I have not been able to find another 2-tier table like it.
But ZULU loves it so much!
It gives him shade but he can pop his head out when he wants more sun. So should I tell him about the impending demise of his table or just let him enjoy his last summer with it?
Maybe ignorance is bliss?

Frodo and Zulu usually get along very well but every once in awhile Frodo gets to be too much with his constant need for attention and affection and he just won’t leave Zulu alone. When this happens Zulu gets this look in his eyes and I know he’s about to put Frodo in his place. A few minutes later they are back to washing each other!
ZULU: Come on mom. I love the guy but even you have to admit he can get to be too much sometimes! A big brother’s job is to keep a younger brother in his place!
FRODO: Even I have to admit Zulu is right. I can sometimes be too much of a good thing!

I will admit that as adorable as Frodo is, he does tend to take advantage of Zulu’s tolerance, often incorporating him as a prop in his convoluted sleeping positions.
FRODO: I always have to be touching my bro! I can’t help myself.
ZULU: No worries. I don’t mind. That’s what brothers are for!

What better way to spend quality time with your brother than by watching TV together!
They could do this for hours!
ZULU: Let’s hide the remote so mom can never change the channel!
FRODO: This is almost better than lying in front of the fireplace!

ZULU: I am not normally shy about showing off but even I have a sense of propriety!
ZULU: Now go away and give me some privacy. I know I am gorgeous and lovely to look at but a mancat has to preserve some mystery!

ZULU: Actually, when you’re next to your favorite brother, you always feel warm and cozy!
FRODO: Though I wouldn’t say no to a tummy rub!

ZULU: Hey, the fire has been on for 30 seconds now and not a sign of Frodo. Where could he be?
ZULU: Frodo where are you?
FRODO: Did I just hear my name? Coming bro! I was just taking a nap under mom’s winter jacket
ZULU: About time. Now i can get back to what i was doing!
FRODO: I can’t believe you almost had to enjoy the fireplace without me
