Trick or Treating with Frodo!

I know Halloween is past but I just had to share these photos of Frodo in costume “giving out” candies from Wednesday night! He loved the attention and the kids loved him!!! Even the kids’ parents couldn’t believe a cat would sit in a costume and stay on a chair to watch kids trick or treating all night!!

The Cats Are Getting Ready For Halloween!

The house is all abuzz as the cats start trying on their spooky outfits in preparation for Halloween!

FRODO: I love my hat but all this excitement is making me sleepy!

ZULU: No! I do not look good in neon green! Take this thing off and get me my beret! Oh la la! I look so good in my French beret!

AMARULA: I am not getting out of this tunnel until you put all the Halloween hats away!

We’re Back! (and happy Canadian Thanksgiving!)

Well I have finally returned from all my travels (where I got to meet fellow blogger Claire from Swiss Cats!) and am happy to be back home. The cats were elated to see me and after lots of love and attention, they were exhausted and all fell into deep sleeps.

FRODO and ZULU:

As you can see, the cats are enjoying the first fire of the year and Frodo is back to getting into his crazy sleeping positions!

AMARULA:

Though she won’t admit it, Amarula was also very happy to see me and spent the whole day on the bookshelf sleeping nearby me as I worked!

It’s also Canadian Thanksgiving today so Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Amarula Is All Ears For Easter!

AMARULA:  Someone phone the Cruelty Against Torties hotline and get me otta here! Oh the shame!

  1. For Easter ( or Passover), I plan to focus on the EAT in Easter and take a bite otta my human for putting me in this stupid outfit!!
  2. My favorite Easter ( or Passover) treat is bunnies of course—but not the chocolate variety if you know what I mean!
  3. Lately, the song ‘Nobody Knows The Trouble I’ve Seen‘ by Louis Armstrong is stuck in my head. For obvious reasons!
  4. The A-Z Blogging Challenge….. the alphabet is a human construct that I don’t subscribe to. The only thing I need to communicate with are my claws! And I am sharpening them right now….

AMARULA: I am not feeling jolly. I wonder if the human realizes she has exactly 30 seconds left to live if she doesn’t get this thing off me NOW!

ZULU: I don’t know what you’re complaining about Amarula! This outfit is great. The colors really set off my fur. Ho, ho, ho ladies! Who’s been naughty?

ZULU: Hey, wait a minute. Does this make my butt look big?

FRODO: The things we do for our mom, am I right?

FRODO: Ok, box me up! Amarula says Santa needs extra help this year so she is gonna box me up and send me to the North Pole! Yeah! Amarula’s the best! HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!

A Plethora of Presents: Fashionable Christmas Felines!

The cats are still waiting for their Secret Paws gift to arrive (so there are still some gifts to unwrap!) but so far their favorite seems to be a festive sweater their aunt (a veterinarian) gave the kitties! Apparently a talented vet tech at her work makes them!

Frodo loved its cozy warmth!

Even Amarula seemed to tolerate it!

AMARULA: Christmas sweaters?! I’m against them (although I guess I can admit it is comfy…but don’t tell anyone I said that!)

ZULU: Naturally, I wear it best! Hope everybody had great holidays!
