Stop, Look, Listen…and Ignore

AMARULA: Oh yes human. I am listening to the details of your day with rapt attention. Do tell. Do tell.

AMARULA: Just wake me up when your exciting tale is over. And has anyone ever told you that you make a better door than a window!? Now move out of the way of my sunbeams!

Here are Amarula’s Friendly Fill-Ins hosted by 15andmeowing and McGuffy’s Reader!

  1. If someone were visiting my area, I would recommend a visit to my backyard bird feeder. Though the little buggers have thus far eluded my grasp, I bet it’s the best restaurant in town.
  2. My favorite room in my home is any room where Frodo and Zulu are not.
  3. Back-to-school time makes me think of the peace that will return to my kingdom once all those screaming little humans have gone back to their September prisons.
  4. My favorite year of school was…School! I didn’t go to school. I school others in the ways of Tortietude!! And the teacher is always in!

  1. Oh my goodness! ***THAT BELLY*** I can’t imagine NOT being speechless in the midst of such adorable beauty; I’d just stare. Then again, Bear doesn’t even bother to hide his annoyance when I tell him all the stuff he cares nothing about. That’s one benefit of adding The Boy and Ellie to our household … yeah, he has to share … but at least I don’t talk his ear off anymore!

  2. A polite request from the Felocracy to Amarula: please stop telling it just like it is in your Friendly Fill Ins: Mesi is reading and memorising them, using them as her training manual. We are a friendly bunch but her tortitetude is not bringing happiness to Veikko.

And you Amarula, are her idol.

  3. Good morning, fellow Tortie~ It’s so funny how humans are actually dumb enough to think we ever listen to them. Dad remembers a 2-window cartoon he saw so many years ago- the first block said “What we say to cats”, and showed a woman scolding her cat about something or other, and the second block said “What cats hear”, and the bubble over the cat’s head was completely blank! So, so true!!!
