FRODO and ZULU: Mom has strict house rules about us cats not being allowed on the table.
FRODO and ZULU: We have strict rules about us cats not following strict rules.
AMARULA: Alright already! Enough about you two! Here are my Friendly Fill-Ins hosted by 15andmeowing and McGuffy’s Reader!
- One Thanksgiving tradition I have is: ….wait a minute…what is this thing you humans call “Thanks” and “Giving” I am not familiar with either of these terms.
- Black Friday is not fun anymore since the human took my credit card away.
- The best part about Thanksgiving Day is: standing with one paw raised over the cooked turkey until the human sees me and comes running towards me screaming “Nooooooooooooo” at which point I then merely smile causing her to spend torturous moments wondering what exactly I did to the bird and whether she should serve it. Oh I do love the holidays!
- One Thanksgiving: I brought a mouse into the house and deposited it in front of the human and her friends while they were eating. I must say they were less than thankful! Humans truly don’t understand the meaning of Thanksgiving.
Hmmm. I would expect that from Amarula … but you two are so cute and innocent, right?
I have the same rule, Cody listens about as well as yours do 😉
No cats on the table – how ridiculous.
Now Amarula we are liking your thinking on Thanksgiving. We are going to have to get a credit card. And as or the paw above the turkey ploy – marvellous. Only it wouldn’t work with Äiti as she ‘s on her own and would have no hesitation in eating what we had touched. Maybe after a bit of a wash perhaps.
We are thankful for this blog – it is most amusing!
Humans have weird rules, right Frodo and Zulu? Amarula, you are a stinker!
That is what rules are made for, so they can be broken by some mighty cute cats. Good luck on staying off the table. Those fill-ins are terrific.
Hehe. We don’t follow rules either! Of course you belong on the table!
The only time we’re not allowed on the table is when the humans are eating. Otherwise…fair game!
Imagine those ungrateful humans not being happy that you brought them a mouse. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.
I think you sound like a very funny kitty! I love the turkey prank. haha
Have a Happy Thanksgiving, all of you, and a very blessed weekend. 🙂
Yeah, our mom has those rules, too. We just usually do stuff after she’s in bed.
Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers Amarula. That is too funny how you like to tease your Mom by sitting near the turkey. My cats don’t follow rules either 🙂
MOL Oh we luvved da mousey story. Now dat’s one fur da history books of Fanksgivins. Mommy used to have a rule ’bout kitties on da table, till she had to have a surgery. Then she couldn’t bend over to feed us. Yeah we’re allowed on da table now. Ya’ll do look adorable sittin’ there. Are ya’ waitin’ fur dat turkey? Big hugs to all. Have a pawsum weekend.
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
HAH! Not only am I allowed on the table but tonight I took some meat out of TW’s plate and ate it. Great answers especially presenting the humans with a mouse.
Ha. We felines…. obey no rules except our own.
ha ha – your post left us laughing. Why don’t humans appreciate it when you bring in a mousie to show it off to your human and the guests? No appreciation at all. I’ll never understand humans as long as I live.
Rules for cats??? Really??? Your answers always crack us up 😉
Great fill-ins ! We are the same rules, even if we’re allowed on the table. Purrs
Great answers! I remember many years ago when Leon, our old ginger Maine Coon, was still a kitten. He caught a field mouse. He was so proud of it, as Bob, our old Blue Maine Coon taught him to hunt. We finally got it away from him and released it outside. It was in shock, but came to and high-tailed it out of there!
Happy Thanksgiving! Annie at ~McGuffy’s Reader~
