AMARULA: Many of you read about my near-death, tree-trapped experience on Monday. I appreciate all the concern and wanted my loyal readers to know that I made it down safely! While it took a few tears (the human’s, not mine of course), curses, a friendly neighbor with a ladder, and not one but THREE cans of wet cat food, I made it safely back to earth! Though I am finding Zulu’s teasing and Frodo constant pestering about why I didn’t invite him on my “adventure” more than just a little annoying!
AMARULA: I know I would have come down on my own in my own sweet time if the human had been more patient and less hysterical! Come to think of it, I’m gonna show that tree who’s boss!
AMARULA: Otta my way! Don’t try to stop me….
AMARULA: Ah Ha!!! Told you so! Now take that tree! Who’s Tortie of the Treetops now!?
AMARULA: Oh oh! I don’t remember it being so high up last time. When did the tree put on high heels!? It sure is a looooooooog way down….
AMARULA: Helloooooo! A little help here! Do we still have the number of that cute firefighter with the ladder??
Here are Amarula’s Friendly Fill-Ins hosted by 15andmeowing and McGuffy’s Reader!
- I can’t believe that fur is still sold. I love my fur and can’t imagine what I would do without it and I sure feel bad for those animals who don’t get to keep theirs!
- I have listed Frodo and Zulu for sale on Craigslist. Don’t tell the human.
- Going into December, the weather outside is FRIGHTFUL! My nemesis winter is clearly on the way. My pleas to Mother Nature have gone unanswered!
- My current weakness is….what is this thing you call weakness! I am a Tortie and tough is my middle name (well actually according to the human it’s smoopee fluffy face but never reveal that to anyone on pain of death!)
Your poor mom. And #2…well.. we admire the effort but ..
MOL Amarula. Guess ya don’t give up.
I’m sur cats always come down even from the top of very high. Except if there a dog or a fox waiting for them at the bottom. They would not starve to death upthere if there’s food at the bottom, would they?
I knew you’d get down when you wanted to come down, but I didn’t know all the panic that took place. Goodness.
I linked this post to Feline Friday, because you’ve earned a link there.
Have a purrfect day. My best to your peeps. ♥
Uh-oh! Who could expect the tree to put on high heels?
LOL at fill-ins’ answer #2. Has anyone contacted about it yet? Heh heh.
I am glad you got down and I do think you should be grounded for scaring your mom. Thank you for these great answers to the fill-ins. I will buy your brothers if I find them on craigslist 🙂 Nice answer to #1, fur should be outlawed. Have a nice weekend! XO
Dang, that tree didn’t stand a chance!
I’d TOTALLY climb a tree if I got three cans of wet food out of it!!! Then again, looking down upon everything and everyone else is also my due. You Mom should definitely add a ramp or something for you … then again, the dimwits and scared-y cats would be able to follow you … so maybe it’s better this way?!? ~Bear Cat
Amarula…you’re gonna give your human a heart attack!
You are one fearless tortie Amarula…but are you trying to hook your mom up with the cute fireman? *running off to Craigslist*
Whoa! You higher than high! MOL! I can imagine TW cos she had a stroke when I climbed to the top of the door. We had a cute fireman here yesterday when a heater on the roof caught fire and last Saturday when someone’s CO detector went off … and …
Oh Smoopee Fluffy Face – er-ahem- I mean Amarula – didn’t your human tell you that insanity is doing the same thing over & over and expecting different results?
Oh smoopee fluffy face, if you must insist on climbing the tree, I think you should ask for your own personal ladder.
We knew you’d get down…have a wonderful weekend!
Noodle and crew
Oh dear – a tortie in treetops. Mesi now wants a tree.
Please stop!
Amarula, I’m sure that you can come down when ever you want.
But, perhaps you can ask for a ladder. I mean a permanent ladder. You deserve to have your personal ladder.
I love your tree. It is big. Mine are high but yours looks better.

Amarula, tell your human that we’ve NEVER seen a cat skeleton in a tree.
I am sorry that I am so late. There were some unplanned things over the weekend. Those were great answers. You made me smile. Thank you for that! HUGS.
Undaunted! Fearless! Amarula is our hero. Nice try with #2, by the way…
Just checking in since you haven’t posted in a while … wanted you to know we’re thinking of you – and we hope everything is okay.
FROM BEAR:
In our post today … I share my list of preferred snuggle partners … and this is how I described you, Amarula: “a whole heck of a lot of HOT TORTIE.”
In retrospect, that makes you sound fat – which you’re not – OBVIOUSLY. I meant that you’re more tortie chick than most guys can handle 😉
~Bear Cat
You make a good Tortie of the Treetops! And I can’t believe that fur is still sold either!
Oh Amarula, you didn’t go back up dat tree? girl…(shakes heads) Sometimes we gotta wonder what you’re thinkin’. MOL We’re just glad you’re safe. Big hugs
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
Yeah, I’m sure you’d have come down all in your own good time. Humans have a way of freaking out easily, it seems. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
