Though she plays tough, Amarula loves lying on my desk beside me as I work.
AMARULA: What are you talking about? I just lie here cause it’s the best spot in the house for sunbeams.
She always curls her feet in such a cute way!
AMARULA: I think it’s not my feet but my claws that you’ll be staring at if you don’t leave me alone and get back to work!
AS PROMISED: Some photos from my visit to Uganda and Kenya.
We saw lots and lots of big cats, including a mom feeding her cubs
A curious jackal
A stunning lilac breasted roller bird! That’s how it really looks! No editing
A marabou stork–can’t decide if it’s the ugliest bird alive or charming!
Hyena cooling down
Warthog
A superb starling (In Canada, starlings definitely don’t look like this!)
One of my fav. A shoebill stork. Very rare (see baby behind mother). They look prehistoric!
It was a totally incredible trip!
We’re doing the Awww Monday Blog hop from Comedyplus!
What incredible pictures ! How did you tame that fierce one to lie on your desk ?
Fabulous photos, and could you ask for a cuter co-worker?
Those are fantastic wildlife photos! Amarula and her toesies look adorable, too!
Amarula, you are a cute office assistant! WOW, your Mom sure saw so many interesting critters!
Looks like Amarula’s glad you’re home. Awesome pictures!
Amarula is a sweetie. Torties like us to think they are toughies, but they are really sweet. Beautiful photos ( except for the poor zebra). Starlings around here don’t look like that either. XO
Amarula, I, Marv love to lay on my Peep’s desk too! And that marabou stork is the strangest bird I’ve seen! Purrs Marv
Your photos are amazing! What a wonderful adventure you had.
Fantastic photos! What a wonderful trip!
Amazing photos of unique and fascinating animals.
You are included in that sentence, Amarula…we know that you are fierce!
Those animals are really cool, but I am happy they do not live near us!
A pretty collar you have, though I am sure you do not like wearing it.
Purrs, Julie
wow that stork DOES look prehistoric!!! I feel so bad for the zebra in the first photo….LOVED the Mama lion feeding her babies and the beautiful bird!! The elephants were cute too! I bet that was like the trip of a lifetime! I know your babies are glad to have you back, that’s why Amarula was REALLY planting herself right next to you!
You’re a great supervisor to mom and I like what you do with your paws too. Adorable.
Oh the shot of your adventure are amazing. A trip of a lifetime.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous day and week. Scritches to the Amarula. ♥
Those photos are beautiful. I wouldn’t mind the noisy starlings if they were as pretty as that one. Love seeing all the animals. That Shoebill certainly does look weird.
You are a great supervisor, Amarula. Both Eric and Flynn used to plonk themselves down on my desk and I often ended up using my leg as a mouse mat.
Extraordinary and beautiful photos! (including the desk kitty fur sure …)
Gorgeous pictures! And the ones from Africa too 😉
